Taught health, p.e. and driver's ed in Albemarle Co. and Roanoke Co. until 2006 - retired.
Coached football, men's and women's basketball, and track at the high school level.
Currently assistant women's basketball coach at Roanoke College (since 1998).
Avid golfer (12 handicap) / been playing hammer dulcimer for about 12 years - play about 3 or 4 weddings a year (played in both my daughters' weddings). Wife, Peggy worked as an assistant to a Federal Judge - retired in 2008. Have 2 step-children, Darin, and Dana, and 4 grandchildren, with one more due in August.

I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about attending my first h.s. reunion in 42 years, but what a pleasant surprise. I think it was the fastest four hours I've spent in years and didn't really get a chance to talk to everybody I wanted to. It was so much fun to be "Jimmy" again for a day and it made me realize how lucky I am to have grown up when and where I did. Thanks so much for all the work that a lot of people did for that day - this ol' Patriot had a ball - can't wait for the next one.
